Help center

Ratings & reputation — what does it mean?
auxbid has two separate systems:

1) **eBay-style seller ratings**: After a purchase, buyers can rate positive, neutral, or negative. In listings you see e.g. “100% positive · 12 ratings · 4.8/5” — visible to everyone.

2) **Internal reputation score (e.g. “good (69)”)**: A trust score from ratings, auction history, and fraud analysis. These blue badges on shops or bids are **only visible to logged-in administrators** — regular users do not see them.

Administrators also find scores in the user profile in the admin area.

Buyer protection
Buyer protection applies in justified cases such as non-delivery or significant discrepancies. Details are in the terms and in the support area.
Internal notes for logged-in users
This article is only visible after sign-in. Here you can document internal processes, escalations, or account-specific help.
How do I register?
Click **Sign in** → **Register** at the top. You need a valid email address and a secure password.

After registration you can bid immediately, use watchlists, and create support tickets. Sellers can also open a shop (see “Account types”).
Forgot password — what now?
On the sign-in page choose **Forgot password**. Enter your email — you will receive a reset link.

The link is time-limited. Check your spam folder too. If you have problems, use live chat or a support ticket.
Which account types exist?
**Buyer account**: Bid, buy it now, watchlist, orders, ratings.

**Seller account / shop**: Additionally create auctions, manage orders as seller, payouts.

A user can combine buyer and seller. Opening a shop is done via the seller dashboard.
How does payment work?
After a won purchase or buy-it-now you receive an order in your account. Available payment methods (e.g. PayPal, card, bank transfer) depend on the seller and checkout configuration.

Payments run through our secure processing. For transaction questions open a ticket with the order or auction number.
How do I place a bid?
Open the auction page and enter your amount. You can also set a **maximum bid** — the system bids automatically for you up to that limit.

Classic auctions use anti-sniping: shortly before the end the runtime may be extended. Note minimum bids and bid increments.
What is buy it now?
With **buy it now** you purchase the item directly at the listed fixed price — without waiting for the auction to end.

Buy-it-now offers are marked with the purple “Buy it now” badge. After purchase the same buyer protection applies as for auctions.
Shipping & delivery
Shipping costs and delivery time are set by the seller in the listing. After payment the seller ships the item.

Tracking information is in your order overview. For delays contact the seller first, then our support.
Security & fraud protection
We review suspicious accounts and auctions. Report suspicious listings via **Report** or a support ticket.

Never pay outside the platform. Buyer protection applies in justified cases — details in the terms.

**Typische Kriterien:**

**Tipps:**

• Pflegen Sie Ihr Profil und liefern Sie zuverlässig — Bewertungen verbessern die Reputation.
• Schließen Sie Verkäufe ordnungsgemäß ab, damit Bestellungen gezählt werden.
• Bei Fragen nutzen Sie **Hilfe-Center → Support** oder Ihre Tickets im Käufer-/Verkäuferbereich.

Live auctions

What are live auctions on Auxbid?
In live auctions, the seller streams their item on camera directly on the auction page. Buyers see the product in real time, can ask questions in live chat, and bid as usual.

Live auctions are marked with a red **Live** badge on the listing page.
How do I join a live auction as a buyer?
Open a running auction with the live badge. The stream appears in the listing area — you must be signed in to bid or use chat.

Bids and the current price update automatically during the stream. Auction rules (duration, minimum bids, anti-sniping) still apply.
How do I start a live stream as a seller?
1. Go to **Seller area → Live auctions** or open an active auction under **My auctions**.
2. Click **Go live** or **Open studio**.
3. Allow camera and microphone access in your browser.
4. Start the stream — viewers see your broadcast live on the auction page.

You can end the stream anytime in the studio. The auction itself continues normally afterward.
What requirements apply to sellers?
Live auctions must be enabled on the platform. You typically also need:

• **Seller unlock** — no longer a “new seller”
• **Verification (KYC)** — sufficient review status
• optionally a **minimum reputation** score

Check your status under **Live auctions** in the seller area. For open items, complete **Verification** or contact **Support**.
How does live chat work?
During the stream, signed-in viewers can send messages. The seller sees chat in the studio; buyers see it on the auction page.

Please stay respectful. Advertising, spam, or abuse is not allowed and may be reported. Contact support if you have issues.
Tech tips and common issues
**Camera & microphone**: Allow browser access when the studio prompts you.

**Internet**: A stable connection (Wi‑Fi or cable) reduces stuttering.

**Browser**: Use an up-to-date Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.

**No video/audio**: Reload the page, check permissions, try another device.

**Stream ended**: The seller or platform may stop the stream — the auction continues normally.
Where can I get help with live auctions?
Use **support tickets** in the seller or buyer area, or **live chat** in the help center (if enabled).

Always include the **auction number** and a short description. For verification: **Seller area → Verification**. For technical issues, include browser, device, and time of the incident.

Shop & Products

What is a shop on Auxbid?
A **shop** is your public seller page with its own name and branding. Buyers find all your listings in one place.

**Products** are the master data (title, images, description, category) — from a product you can start one or more **auctions**.
How do I open a shop?
Eligible sellers can request a public shop under **My area → Activate shop**. After review (and payment if applicable), the platform enables your shop.

Without a shop you can still list auctions as a seller — the shop is optional for extra visibility.
How do I create products?
In the seller area under **My products → Add product**, fill in title, description, category, and images. A product can be reused for new auctions.

Tip: Good photos and a clear description improve your chances of selling.
Edit, deactivate, or delete products
Under **My products** you can edit, temporarily deactivate, or delete entries. Products with **running or scheduled auctions** cannot be deactivated until those auctions end.

Changes apply to future auctions; live listings keep the state from when they were published.
Categories and shop categories
Each product needs a **marketplace category** (for search and fees). You can also create **shop categories** to group items for visitors.

Under **Categories** in the seller area you manage how products appear in your shop.
The public shop page
Your shop is available at `/shop/your-slug`. Visitors see logo, description, categories, and active listings.

The shop slug is set in **shop settings** and should be memorable and unique.
From product to auction
After creating a product, start the wizard via **Create auction**. You select the product, set start price, duration, shipping, and optional buy-now.

An auction is tied to exactly one product. Multiple parallel auctions for the same product require separate product records.

Billing, Invoices & Fees

What is the seller account?
The **seller account** shows your running balance: every entry as **credit (+)** or **debit (−)**.

Sale proceeds increase your balance; fees and payouts reduce it. A **negative balance** is possible and is offset by future proceeds.
Listing fees
When publishing an auction, **listing fees** may apply. You see the cost **before** listing in the wizard.

With sufficient balance, fees are debited from the seller account immediately. If balance is insufficient, you receive an **invoice** with a payment deadline.
Sales commission
On a successful sale, a **commission** may apply to the sale price. The percentage depends on category and seller plan.

The commission is settled during payment processing and appears as a booking on the seller account.
View and pay invoices
Open and paid invoices are under **Invoices** in the seller area. Each invoice shows line items, due date, and payment status.

Payment is possible via **PayPal, Mollie, or bank transfer**, for example. Overdue invoices may trigger reminders.
Wallet balance and negative balance
Your seller account works like a wallet ledger: fees are booked even with a **negative balance**. New **sale proceeds** automatically offset open amounts.

Under **Payouts / Wallet** you see available balance for bank transfers.
Payouts to my bank account
After buyer payment is released (escrow), proceeds are on your account. **Payouts** are transferred to your registered bank account — depending on timing and minimum amount.

Status and history are under **Payouts** or in the seller account.
Payment as a buyer
After winning or buy-now you receive an **order** in the buyer area. There you choose available payment methods (e.g. card, PayPal, prepayment).

Payment runs through the platform. The seller ships only after confirmed payment.
Tax profile (B2C / B2B)
Under **My profile → Tax** you specify whether you sell as **private (B2C)** or **business (B2B)** with VAT ID. This affects invoice display and EU reverse charge.

Keep your data up to date — incorrect details may lead to corrected invoices.
What fees apply when listing an item?
When you publish an **auction**, **real-estate listing**, or **vehicle listing** as a seller, **listing fees** may apply. Exact amounts are **configured platform-wide** and may vary by category, options, and seller plan.

**Where do I see the costs?**

• In the **auction wizard** (fees step / before publish) you get a **live breakdown** of all line items.
• For real estate and vehicles, fees are shown before you **publish** the listing.
• Amounts are usually shown as **net**, **VAT**, and **gross (incl. VAT)**.

**When are fees charged?**

Listing fees are usually debited **immediately on publish** from your **seller account**. If balance is insufficient, you receive an **invoice** with a payment deadline. A negative balance is possible — sale proceeds offset open amounts.

**What fee types exist?**

• **Base listing fee** per listing
• **Subtitle**, **extra categories**, **additional gallery images**
• **Premium options** (highlight, XXL gallery, homepage placement)
• **Reserve price**, **buy now**, **buyer protection** (if enabled)
• **Category fees** (depending on selected category)
• **Real-estate** and **vehicle listing fees**

**Note for new sellers:** Some options may be restricted until unlock criteria are met (see the seller unlock help article).

**Sales commission:** In addition to listing fees, a **commission** on the sale price may apply on a **successful sale** — settled during payment processing, not when creating the listing.
Base listing fee and subtitle
**Base listing fee**

Each published auction may incur a **base listing fee**. It is charged when this fee is active in admin settings — regardless of optional extras.

**Subtitle**

If you enter a **subtitle** in the auction wizard, an **additional fee** may apply. Without a subtitle, this line item is not charged.

**Vendor surcharge**

Individual sellers may have an optional **custom surcharge**. It appears as a separate line in the fee overview.

**Tip:** Check the fee preview in the wizard before clicking **Publish** — you will see net, VAT, and gross for all active items.
Category and extra-category fees
Every listing needs a **primary category**. You can also select **additional categories** so your item appears in more areas.

**Category fee**

Certain marketplace categories may have their **own listing fee**. It is calculated per selected category when an amount is configured in admin settings.

**Extra category**

Each **additional category** (from the second onward) may trigger an **extra-category fee**. The primary category does not trigger this slot fee — only the extra slots do.

**Example:** Primary "Electronics" + extra "Collectibles" = base fee + optional category fee Electronics + optional category fee Collectibles + optional extra-category fee.

**New sellers:** Multi-category listings may be restricted until your account is unlocked.
Gallery and premium fees (images, highlight, XXL, homepage)
**Gallery images**

A number of images is often **free**. Each **additional image** beyond that may incur a per-image fee.

**Highlight**

**Highlight** makes your listing stand out in category and search results. The fee applies when enabled in the wizard.

**XXL gallery**

**XXL gallery** enlarges image display on the listing page.

**Homepage placement**

**Homepage placement** can promote your listing on the homepage — if the option is active and available.

**Notes**

• All premium options are **optional** — only enabled features are charged.
• **New sellers** may be restricted from highlight, XXL, gallery upgrades, or multi-category.
• Exact amounts are shown live in the wizard fees step.
Fees for reserve price, buy now, and buyer protection
**Reserve price**

If you set a **reserve price**, an **additional fee** may apply. Without a reserve, this line is not charged.

**Buy now**

If you enable **buy now** with a fixed price, a **buy-now fee** may apply on publish.

**Buyer protection fee**

If you offer **buyer protection**, two components may apply:

• **Fixed fee** per listing, if enabled
• **Percentage** of expected sale price — based on start price or buy-now price (whichever relevant value is higher)

Buyer protection builds buyer trust; the fee is charged like other listing fees on publish via the seller account.

**New sellers:** Reserve price, buy now above thresholds, or high start prices may be restricted.
Fees for real-estate and vehicle listings
Besides classic auctions, you can create **real estate** and **vehicles** as dedicated listing types.

**Real-estate listing**

Publishing a real-estate listing may incur a **real-estate listing fee** when active in admin settings.

**Vehicle listing**

Similarly, vehicles may incur a **vehicle listing fee**.

**Highlight on marketplace listings**

If you later promote a real-estate or vehicle listing with **highlight**, the highlight fee may apply additionally — as with auctions.

**Billing**

Fees are debited on **publish** or **premium activation** from the seller account. You see the breakdown before confirming. If balance is insufficient, you receive an invoice.

**Auction from marketplace listing:** A linked auction may trigger regular auction listing fees as well — check the respective fee preview.
